Research interests

Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical applications of accelerator mass spectrometry.

My research is focused on low-dose pharmacokinetic, metabolism, and tissue distribution studies of toxicants and potential drug leads using accelerator mass spectrometry in an effort to understand their mechanisms of action.  We are also using a pharmacogenomics approach to understand the role of the microbiome on drug metabolism and disposition.  We are utilizing AMS to quantify blood brain barrier penetration of novel drug leads to determine CNS efficacy.
